The magic happens when we work together

The Interior Design industry can feel closed off and competitive. It can all feel a bit exclusive and secretive, with designers unwilling to share 'insider knowledge' and collaboration uncommon. 

But, we all get stuck on occasion. And sometimes it's really lonely working on your own.

What if you could bounce around a couple of ideas? See how other Interior Designers were doing it? Get advice from industry experts on every aspect of your business?

Founded in 2022 by Lisa Honiball, an interior designer with 14+ years experience, the membership was created as a safe place to engage in open conversation, share knowledge, get advice, and connect with like-minded individuals within the interior design industry.


I don’t have a formula for running an Interior Design studio. There’s no silver bullet or fail safe 7-step process that I can give you (sorry). 

What I'll give you instead is tailored business advice and bucket loads of support.

Prior to Interior Design I worked at Microsoft for 10 years. My roles there as a conflict resolution manager, team manager, vendor account manager, and global program manager make me well placed to support you in running a successful interior design business. 

I know it can be tough starting out. Even years in, it might not be the business you dreamt of. Perhaps you’re not consistently doing work that you love, or you swing from fully booked to scraping around for the next project. It’s stressful and takes more hours than you ever imagined.

There is a way through. Use my knowledge and experience to design a business that works for you. I’ll guide and support you. Once you see that you have what it takes, you’ll be brimming with confidence and your business will thrive.

Who's it for?

Whether you are recently qualified, working on your first client project or have been in practice for several years – if you run your own interior design business then Interior Design Insiders is for you.

THIS IS FOR YOU:

  • There are no qualification pre-requisites to join the membership. However, you need to have gained either interior design qualifications or experience working in the industry, and be serious about running your own interior design business.
  • You’re willing to get involved and join in with the community – an engaged community will require a time commitment. 
  • You are open to other people’s ideas and willing to share your own experience.

THIS IS NOT FOR YOU:

  • If Interior Design is just a hobby
  • If you want to gain an interior design qualification. Whilst we’ll offer some sessions on improving and honing your skills you need to get the basic skills and/or qualifications first
  • You have it all figured out and don’t want to change anything about your business.
  • You are not willing to share your sources, experience, or ideas
  • You are too busy to commit time to engaging in a community. The membership is available 24*7 for you to dip in and out of as suits you best – but its success will rely on active members.
